The Canadian Lutheran is LCC’s award-winning national publication. This magazine is published six times per year.
Subscriptions:
LCC congregations receive The Canadian Lutheran magazine in print free of charge. If you are not a member of an LCC congregation, subscriptions are available for $30/year or you can “Buy-One/Gift-One” for $50/year ($25 each) through our Advertising Manager, Angela Honey.

Stories and articles are also published in the online expanded version on CanadianLutheran.ca, and as an interactive flipbook through Issuu.
Reports
LCC’s Annual Report includes yearly summaries from synodical leadership and financial updates. The report is sent out by email and mail to all congregations prior to our Annual General Meeting in June. The latest report can be accessed on LCC’s website under News > Latest Reports.
This publication keeps members up to date on the work of synod since the last national convention. It also serves as a tool to help convention delegates report back to their respective congregations. Issues are both emailed to delegates directly and made available in The Canadian Lutheran. Additionally, the latest issue can be accessed on LCC’s website under News > Latest Reports.

Education
L’Institut liturgique luthérien francophone (The Francophone Lutheran Liturgical Institute – ILLF) provides support in the French language to those responsible for teaching, researching, and carrying out pastoral work in areas pertaining to Lutheran liturgy. This is the only Confessional Lutheran institute of this kind available entirely in French.

Events
Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC)’s 13th Regular Convention will be held in Winnipeg from June 12-15, 2026, gathering under the theme “Together One: One Lord, One Faith, One Body” (Ephesians 4:4-6).

LCC supports mission work internationally in Central America, East Asia, and Ukraine.

Projects
Missouri North traces the history of Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) from its beginnings in the mid-1800s down to the present day:
- Noted Canadian Lutheran historian Norman J. Threinen charts the development of LCC from its origins until autonomy.
- LCC’s first three presidents, Edwin Lehman, Ralph Mayan, and Robert Bugbee, recount milestones in the history of Lutheran Church–Canada over the next three decades.
- David H. Somers provides an additional essay examining the unique story of LCC’s French-language ministry
