Missionaries and pastors are called to preach the Gospel to all nations, and that includes the men and women of the Canadian Forces. Chaplains seek to extend the love of God in Jesus Christ to persons at the point of their deepest need. LCC’s Committee for Mission and Social Ministry Services seeks to identify and nurture more committed persons for these ministries-ordained persons interested in exploring these meaningful and challenging expressions of the church’s mission.

Our nation’s sons and daughters need qualified, committed, and called men to serve as spiritual leaders to them in the fulfillment of their duty. The need has never been greater, the experience never so rich.

Qualified and sent by LCC, trained by the Canadian Forces, and led by our Triune God, chaplains are expected to exercise dynamic and influential spiritual leadership, without violating their faith or convictions. Chaplains are the ‘soul and conscience’ of the Canadian Forces, bringing the presence of Christ to the nations, in some of the most adventurous ways imaginable. Whether leading worship, patrolling the field, assisting with policy, or visiting the hospital, chaplains are always at the frontline of the soldiers’ life.
