Convention Sunday Resources
Many pastors will attend the Lutheran Church–Canada convention and therefore will absent from their congregations on Sunday, June 14th. While congregations are welcomed to stream the convention, President Teuscher has provided a suggested order of service and written sermons that may be used by congregations that are having services led by lay elders on that day.
Other fitting services from the Lutheran Service Book that could be used are: Matins, Morning Prayer, Service of Prayer and Preaching, or the Service of the Word part of the Divine Service, Settings One, Two or Three.
If pastors have made their own arrangements, please do include in the worship service in your congregation that day the following prayers for our synodical convention:
Prayer
Almighty God, heavenly Father, pour out Your Spirit upon the delegates who are gathered this day in our Lutheran Church—Canada convention that He would direct and guide them to plan, discuss, and accomplish those things that will benefit the pastors, deacons, and congregations of our Synod and strengthen all of us to stand firm in the one, true, saving faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Gracious Lord, heavenly Father, we give You thanks that You raise up servants for work among Your people. We humbly implore You to grant to those who have been elected to various offices and positions in our Synod those gifts needed for the faithful carrying out of their tasks, most especially wisdom, strength, and faithful, willing, and steadfast hearts; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Convention Discussion Group
An open group on LCC’s Servant Leader Network has been established for anyone interested in discussing the business facing LCC related to the upcoming Synodical Convention that’s been called for June 12-15, 2026. This forum provides the opportunity for respectful discussion of matters concerning the forthcoming 2026 LCC Convention. Participants are asked to refrain from campaigning or circularizing beyond this forum on any business matter or nominated candidate.
What is LCC’s Servant Leader Network (SLN)?
The Servant Leader Network (SLN) is essentially an “intranet” (an internal website) for the people of LCC. Both formal and informal groups can be created by users to enable discussion, document sharing, event planning, and more within these groups. Almost all of the content on the site is available only to those who have an account and who are signed in. A very small amount of public-facing content may be created by administrators, but all user-created content will be visible only to those who are signed in to the site. User accounts will be moderated; those who sign up for an account must have their account manually approved.
Where do I sign up?
Sign up at https://servantleader.network. Your account will be reviewed within a day or so and, once approved, you’ll be able to sign in and join or create groups within the Network.
Already on SLN? Head straight to the Convention Discussion Group here.
