Our Background

The mission site presently known as Oromo El-Shaddai Lutheran Church meets at All Saints Lutheran Church (Edmonton, AB). At this time, Rev. Jonathan Kraemer, pastor at All Saints, is catechizing and baptizing members, as well as leading Divine Service. The group is in the process of becoming an official congregation of Lutheran Church–Canada.

Our Ministry

On May 15, 2022, twenty-four children from twelve families received new life in Christ through baptism which took place at All Saints Lutheran Church. After the special afternoon baptismal service, a meal of traditional Oromo food was served. 

“We thank God for each child baptized today who has been saved through God’s precious gift of baptism,” said Rev. Kraemer. “We rejoice with their parents and look forward to supporting them in teaching their children of Jesus and the great gift they have received.”
