Our Background

Mount Olive Lutheran Church (Regina, SK) was initially organized as a congregation on March 9, 1953. The previous name of the congregation had been St. John’s Lutheran Mission, named for the street on which it was located. The new building was dedicated December, 1961. Construction of a 10,000 square foot addition began in spring of 1989—carried out almost in its entirety by volunteers from the congregation, and on January 14, 1990, the renovated building was dedicated to the glory of God.

Oromo Lutherans living in Regina, Saskatchewan and the surrounding area are invited to get in touch with Rev. Ted Giese, lead pastor of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, or to attend Divine Service (Information on service times can be found Here).
